What do kids most often ask at the Violence Impact Assemblies?

ANSWER
Often I get asked, “What happened to Jennifer – Tariq’s fiancée? The answer is tragic. Jennifer, unlike my family and I, was not able to forgive and was angry at me when I forgave Tony. She resorted to drugs and got on heavier and heavier drugs. Seven years after Tariq’s death she died by suicide. So she is no longer with us. Suicide is a complex matter and more information is available at the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention website. I do continue to pray for her. Many times after Tariq’s death I had encouraged her to get involved with TKF – I wish so much that she could have forgiven and done that. I believe Tariq would have also liked that. Very sad – it still tears me up when I share this.
