On October 17, 2015, the Global Empowerment Summit took place at UC San Diego. It was attended by over 250 people from all over the world. Many great speakers focused on empowerment. Although it was primarily designed to empower women worldwide and most of the speakers were women, Azim’s keynote challenged the theme to be “human empowerment.”
Said Azim, “I was impressed at all the great work that is being done by so many all over the world! It gave me much hope in the future of our world. I am an optimist and feel very confident we will create a sustainable and a peaceful world. Maybe it is the storm before the calm. The reception after the event had great food and music and bubbling energy. All in all it was a fun and inspiring day!”
