Question of the Month: How Do You Become a Clear Channel? What is “Soulular Methodology” of Connecting with God/Higher Self?

The one lesson I have learned is we are all intuitives. We are constantly being supported by our inner guidance and our higher power. What does this really mean and how do we know that the guidance we receive is indeed from a benevolent, loving higher power?
Here is how I see it—there are two selves living in us—the mortal self and the real Self.
The mortal self is the life we have chosen as a spiritual being in human form to learn the lessons we must learn in each lifetime to purify ourselves to achieve enlightenment and unite with our real Self.
Our real Self is immortal and pure and is accompanying us lovingly and compassionately in this journey as it has in our previous journeys and will continue to be with us until we are fully realized and forever thereafter live in this divine state of pure awareness—Nirvana.
Having done this work for 26-plus years, I have been fortunate to meet many enlightened souls. We see this in deities, sages, and evolved gurus and luminaries like HH the Dalai Lama, Thick Nhat Hahn, Satguru, Rumi, Gibran, Amma, Thomas Merton, St. Francis of Assisi, Walt Whitman, Emily Dickinson, Hafiz, and others that come to mind or ones you have read about and hold in high esteem.
While I am not there—yet—I am getting closer, which is a blessing from my saying YES to the adventure that presented itself in my life in the form of a hard hit. Now, I get to explore more layers of this connection in my work over these years teaching forgiveness and spiritual resiliency.
So, how do we access our real Self–our higher power? The simple answer is: through meditation. I have been meditating for 50 years and have studied most forms of meditations and have created my own.
My “ah-has,” wisdom, and guidance come through connecting with my real Self through the daily practice of meditations. It is not hard to know if this guidance is from your real Self because if so, it is pure, of high integrity, and always in the highest good for you, others, and the universe. If it does not have these attributes–disregard it.
As you get better with practice, you will continue to be blessed with this real guidance and not be distracted by noise. My experience has taught me that living a spiritual life—a Soulular life—is the most practical and pragmatic way of being. It is the ONLY way!
“Spiritual Student! Rejoice as the outer building tumbles down, for the inner Temple is to be revealed. The mind of the individual seeking help is the Christ-mind –awaiting recognition. The man who has his being “in Christ” finds his capacities and abilities in Soul–not in the brain, body, or muscle.”
